The Midtown Phoenix neighborhood is one that many had never even heard of 15 years ago. Maybe that’s because the term wasn’t used that much. The name implies just what you think it should. It’s right in the middle of Phoenix.

It’s sandwiched between Indian School Road and McDowell Rd on the north and south. 7th street and 7th street make the east and west borders for Midtown Phoenix. You can get to all the good stuff from midtown.

Choose this neighborhood if being able to get to all the popular areas is important to you. Live in the Midtown Phoenix neighborhood if you appreciate the restaurants, coffee shops, shopping centers, and nightlife options just outside your front door

Things to do in Midtown Phoenix

Park Central – has to top the list for Midtown Phoenix shopping. This iconic center has moved with the times. Decades ago it was home to Dillards and Miricle Mile Deli. Today the plaza is transformed into a retail, office, and education center. The staff at Saint Joesephs Hospital appreciates the affordable dining options that include Jamba Juice, Starbucks, Jimmy John’s, Thai Basil, Fried Pie, and First Watch for breakfast and lunch.

Uptown Plaza – is technically in the Uptown Phoenix Area. It is just north of the northern Midtown neighborhood.
Shops on Camelback – is a tinynplaza that has an eclectic assortment of antique dealers.

Lux Central – is a cafe & bakery that serves some of the valleys best baked goodies and smoothest caffeine infused beverages.

Mo Money Pawn – will keep the cash coming when times are tight if you have goods that the public views as valuable

Frances – is a boutique women’s clothing shoes, mand accessory place where you can find unique handmade gifts and hard-to-find items that are sure to delight anyone with a flare for fun and unordinary goods.

Lets talk food. Midtown style. Come to Midtown to get some of the best grub either side ofm the Mississippi and in Phoenix. Below is a short list of some of the local Midtown Favorites:

Ocotillo Restaurant – Try nthe Housemade pasta if you love to not feel hungry anymore after youn eat feeling. The Roasted pork shank is to die for. Have a Ginger mint lemonade, and topm it all off with a desert.

Switch Restaurant – Fried Chicken Bites make a fine start to any meal on the meuu. Just do it. Thai tacos, Garlic lemon hummus, and Little neck clams are not a bad start either. Try the South Bound Dump Truck Crispy fried chicken sammich. Another filling option is the Smoked adobe meatloaf or Chicken pot pie.

Green New American Vegitarian – We all love chicken wings. What about the award winning vegan wings? Try em, you’ll like em. Promise. Have Thee Fighting Artichoke, Chicago Cheesesteak, Secret BBQ Sammie, or the Big Wac if you’re really hungry.

The Wild Thaiger – if you like it hot you gotta throw down for the Volcano Wrap. Try the Crab Island, Satay Sampler, or Crispy corn fritters if you prefer something not so hot. The rice and noodle dishes, Curries, Pad Thai, and Specialty dishes are all good. Just close your eyes and point if you can’t malke up your mind.

China Chili – Over 1,700 patrons agree that China Chuli deserves to be on this list. Nuff said. Go get some of that China Chili and tell us whatn you think. Odds are you’ll be in the 4.5 and up camp of China Chili fans.

Taco Guild – an astounding 3,400 plus lovers of this place say yes, yes, yes. The Green chile queso will have you lickin your chops. The tacos will keep you comin back for more, and Fried cauliflower taco will have you wondering how it tastes so good. Have the Street corn and finish off your meal with Churro bites.

Pho Noodles – Have you had Pho? No? Then make a bee-line for this place fast. And if you know Pho then you won’t be let down when you belly up to have a bowl here.

Freeways – Getting around matters. That goes double when ot comes to being able to get to an airport, freeway, of favorite restaurant quickly. Being located in the middle helps. You will love being able to jump on the I-10, I-17, 51, and 202 freeways easily. You will be able to get around and do it quickly from Midtown Phoenix.

Hospitals – St Joe’s is at Thomas and 3rd Avenue. Good Sam is at 7th St and McDowell. Therse are two of the valley’s best medical centers. Phoenix Childrens Hospital is close by at 16th Street and Thomas too.
