The menu at Tarbell’s consists of longtime restaurateur Mark Tarbell’s an indeed favorite American dishes including lamb, steak, and seafood. Since the Tarbell has been Americanized to resemble a classic European wine bar, do not be shocked when you come across European inspired dishes on the menu. All European inspired dishes at this quaint restaurant certainly embody all the characteristics of fine European dining.

The dining room at Tarbell has always a casual bar area and its elegant sitting area filled with comfortable seats. The menu is both vintage and modern inspired, since the vintage side consisting of mainly of American classics. Then, the modern side is made up of haute-American food that has been influenced by both the East and West.

The American classics are varied to include macaroni and cheese, which seems to be one of Tarbell’s best sellers, fried chicken that is crispy just as fried chicken should be, and a shell crab sandwich that is made with challah toast, lightly battered soft-shell crab, and a topping of fried eggs whose yolk helps to tie all the flavors together. If you have never been to Tarbell’s, you are better off starting your experience with the American Classic Five Napkin Burge, although you will not be disappointed by the other dishes on the menu.

The burger comes with not one, but of course with two of the most flavorful beef patties that you have ever eaten. The patties are covered with melted American cheese with pickles, sweet tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and a tangy Special Sauce as toppings to be sure it will be more tasty. Everything is then sandwiched between two slices of challah buns which supports all the flavors included.

The scallop ceviche served with Tiger’s milk which is a Peruvian sauce that made up of lime juice, honey, chili sauce and coconut milk is equally as delightful as the burger. The bar serves an assortment of drinks including affordable glasses of champagne and stirred stiff cocktails to wash everything down accordingly. These make the customers wanted to come back always.
