If you move to the sunshine state you’re going to need some cool digz for sure. Your kids are going to love it. All the outside time will be great for them.

Playing with other kids, playing basketball, baseball, and/or football are all year round options here in AZ. If you have kids that like water (which ones don’t, right), then you might as well take a peek at whats out there. Below is a nice list of available homes right now that have pools and at least 4 bedrooms.

Take a Look at the 4 Bedroom Homes with Pools

From robust school districts, undulating landscapes, diverse climate, and vast open sky to thriving metropolitan business scene and everything in-between, here are top reasons why moving out of state with children to Arizona is a smart move

🌇 Climate and Weather are Amazing

You might have heard the joke that even when the temp hits 120 degrees in Arizona, it’s still “hot and beautiful.” And they are dead right on the spot; Arizona is known for the 5 Cs – Climate, Copper, Citrus, Cotton, and Cattle. Most parts of the state are blessed with 300 days of pure sunshine and niceness.

Weather, has a whole lot to do with why Greater Phoenix is the number 5 metropolitan in all of the nation. Many are moving back to the center of town. The 85016 zip code, 85018 zip code, and 85004 zip code are all seeing a resurgence of building and home renovations. Even big national builders like DR Horton, K. Hovnanian, and Cachet Homes are vying for your home purchase dollars.

Some of the infill projects from local builders are extraordinary. Emprie Group, Sterwart builders, and VIP Homes are all building exceptional homes here in the valley.  On the luxury spectrum Cullum Homes, Calvis Wyant Homes, and Toll Brothers are all building to the higher end clientele.

The building industry has set up shop in Phoenix and is always a big part of the local economy. Many work in the industry, and many buy the new house being built across the valley of the sun.

🎓 The Schools are Fabulous

Arizona has one of the most comprehensive and robust school choice programs in the nation. In fact, it boasts 3 of the top 10 public high schools in the US. Besides, there are 3 world-renown colleges – ASU, UA, and NAU.

There are many schools that attract families who are wanting an excellent education for their son’s and daughters. You’ll notice that many of the zip code pages have links to homes near schools that serve that area. We divide these by elementary. Middle schools, and High Schools.

🦐 The Food Scene is Unbeatable

The Food Scene is Unbeatable: in Arizona, you’ll taste avocados like never before. Authentic Mexican cuisine anyone? You’ll also love American plates here. Whether you’re looking for a food truck to grab a burrito to go or fancy a family night out in an elegant restaurant, Arizona got you covered.

On our Local Resources page you’ll see that we research and write about the local eateries quite frequently. Once a foodie, always a foodie I guess. Some of the great places to try are listed below.

Sacks – The Art of Sandwicherie

Sacks Sandwiches knows sannies like Bo knows Diddly😋. Making a great sandwich might sound like a relatively simple and straightforward idea to many. However, making a great sandwich is sort of a science; balancing out the various flavors of the fillings, determining which sauces to use and in which amounts, the best type of bread to use, etc means that sandwich making is all very serious work.

🏢 Moving to Arizona for Career

Maybe it’s the lax state rules, recent economic gains or lucrative business opportunities, but companies and employment are flocking to Arizona in droves. For you and your loved ones, that means more jobs and business opportunities. Truth be told, moving out of state with children is a challenging affair as it is. That’s why job and financial security can come in handy.

Downtown Phoenix is attracting all of the major universities in the state. They all have campuses there. Professors, administrators, and maintenance staff all work at these locations. Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Banner Health, and St Joseph’s Medical Center are three of the hospitals in the Central Phoenix corridor. These large facilities are staffed 24/7 with those who work in the health field. There are also tons of service industry like labs, MRI centers, and physical therapy businesses feed off of these larger facilities.

Phoenix is also seeing quite a few calling centers for insurance & banking industries too. Just like people, companies are moving to Arizona too.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Best Communities to Raise Children

little girl on a tire swingYou’ll be glad to know that Arizona has some of the highly-rated neighborhoods for raising children. From Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Arcadia, Gilbert, Chandler, Arcadia Lite, Downtown Phoenix, Tucson, Queen Creek, and Anthem to name a few.

You may be interested in acquiring that resort living lifestyle. There’s more than one way to quench that thirst. You can search for Pool homes in Tempe, Golf homes in Phoenix, and Luxury Homes in Paradise Valley.

Living in the desert lends itself to spending more time outdoors than other states.

Kids will love being outside if you give them something to do. Having a pool, or living near a golf course can help them stay busy.

🏞 AZ – Home to the Grand Canyon and other Landscapes

Grand CanyonIf you ever fancied living in the Grand Canyon state, then any neighborhood in Arizona will fit the bill.

That isn’t all; Arizona features sizzling snow-capped mountains, an array of lakes, Hoover Dam, and much more.

The diversity of the state of Arizona is astonishing. It has a wide variety of terrains. The only one that I can think of that we don’t have is oceanic, and San Diego is only 5 1/2 hours away by car or less than an hour flight. Moving to Arizona puts you in the vortex of everything good, so come on over.

Arizona has mountains, desert, rain forest (that is not a typo; we have the Havasupi rainforest, aka: Garden of Eden in the Desert), high desert, Islands (small, but we got em. Mainly inside the Colorado River, Lake Mead, and Lake Roosevelt).

So, if you are a snowboarder, you can count on some good snow up north. Backpacking and camping are great things to do with kids. Arizona is loaded with lots of great campgrounds.

Other, lesser known outdoor things to do in the Phoenix Metro include:

  • Hiking Quartz trail at Piestewa Peak
  • Hiking Camelback Mountain
  • Going to see the wildflowers at Superstition Mountain in the spring
  • Visiting the Phoenix Zoo
  • Spending time at the Botanical Garden
  • Floating in an inner-tube down the Salt River
  • Running along one of the local canals

🌴 Arizonans Embrace Outsiders

How cool is that, right? This will be a huge reprieve especially if you are moving out of state with children. You could use a little neighborly touch. Arizona is home to year-round sunshine weather, good educational programs, and gorgeous, scenic landscapes.

You and you children will certainly be proud to call Arizona home.

Here in AZ most of the population converged on this place after leaving other states.

Many come to get out of the cold, some to find work, and others because they want to live in sunny Phoenix.

There’s a lot to do here for kids and parents alike. Go ahead, and start taking a look at homes to see if there is a place for you to call home.
